About Dawn

On March 25, 2013 Dawn Powell was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dawn, a single mom of four(Alena-22, Ashleigh-20, Gavin-11, and Brody-9), works full time at a local solar company. She has been an active member of Murrieta Valley Church for the last thirteen years, and currently resides in Winchester, California. Since her diagnosis she has endured a grueling chemo schedule, a few hospital trips, and countless doctor visits. She is currently preparing for a double masectomy in October.

It is out of love for our precious friend that this blog was created. Our desire is to support her emotionally, spiritually, and tangibly. We hope that this that this blog will enable you to:

1. Follow Dawn's journey as she is a beloved friend to so many.

2. Give in a very practical way. The reality is that cancer is a costly disease. Dawn is dealing with increasing medical expenses, as well as a decreased income from missed work (that will increase come October when she has her masectomy). You can use the Paypal link on this blog to make a donation to Dawn and her family. We pray that these donations will provide sufficient financial relief so that Dawn can focus on treatment, and recovery.

For those of us who have the privilege of knowing Dawn personally, we know her to be an unabashedly generous woman, who without question, gives away her time and resources to those
in need. To help our friend with her needs is to simply reciprocate the kindness that she has bestowed  upon so many of us!
